Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 May 2026
The short version
- TriRev is a Heymow Studio product. You install it via GitHub Marketplace, GitHub handles billing, Heymow Studio runs the AI review.
- Use it for your own work, not for resale. No reverse-engineering, no abuse-volume webhook traffic, no using it to process content that's illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Free is 30 reviews per install per month. Pro is $20/dev/month for unlimited; Team is $25/dev/month with a 5-seat minimum. Refunds and billing run through GitHub.
- The AI's review is advisory. It can be wrong. Don't merge code on its strength alone. We're not liable for what gets shipped on the AI's say-so.
- Liability is capped. Greater of EUR 100 or 12 months of fees. Hard carve-outs for things you can't legally cap (gross negligence, IP infringement, the usual).
- French law governs, Paris commercial court has jurisdiction. If you're an EU consumer the Brussels I bis rules let you pick your home court instead, but this product is built for B2B teams.
Full clauses below. The summary above is for orientation only; the binding text is what follows.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of TriRev (the "Service"), an AI-assisted pull request review tool operated by Heymow Studio (legal entity: Khaled Chehab EI, French auto-entrepreneur, SIREN 999208556, 173 rue de Courcelles, 75017 Paris, France). By installing TriRev on a GitHub repository or organization, you accept these Terms.
1. Service description
TriRev is a GitHub App distributed exclusively via the GitHub Marketplace. When installed on a repository, it listens for pull request events, sends the diff and limited file context to a large language model, and posts an AI-generated review as a comment on the pull request. GitHub Inc. is the billing and account intermediary for paid plans; Heymow Studio is the data controller for the data the App processes once received from GitHub.
2. Eligibility
The Service is intended for business use. To use it you must (a) have a valid GitHub account, (b) meet GitHub's minimum age requirement for your jurisdiction, and (c) have authority to install applications on the GitHub account or organization in question. If you're using the Service on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to process content that's illegal under French, EU, or applicable law.
- Trigger webhook volume that's excessive relative to normal development activity, or attempt to circumvent quota enforcement.
- Resell, sublicense, or grant access to the Service to a third party outside your organization.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code or model weights underlying the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by mandatory law.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without prior written authorization (responsible disclosure to support@trirev.dev is welcome).
4. Plans, billing, and quotas
- Free plan: 30 pull request reviews per calendar month per installation. Reviews above the cap return a polite "limit reached" comment until the next calendar month.
- Pro plan: USD 20 per developer per month, unlimited reviews.
- Team plan: USD 25 per developer per month, unlimited reviews, 5-seat minimum.
Billing is handled by the GitHub Marketplace. Refunds, prorations, plan changes, and dunning follow GitHub's published Marketplace policies; nothing in these Terms overrides those policies. Taxes, where applicable, are collected by GitHub.
5. Intellectual property
You retain all rights to your code and to any content you submit through the Service. Heymow Studio claims no licence over your code beyond what's strictly necessary to perform the review (a transient, processing-only licence that ends when the review job completes). The AI-generated review output is provided to you as part of the Service and you may use it freely within your business; we make no exclusive claim over it. The TriRev brand, the Heymow Studio brand, and the Service's source code, configuration, and documentation are owned by Heymow Studio and are protected under the French Code de la propriété intellectuelle and equivalent laws.
6. AI output disclaimer
This section is important; please read it.
TriRev's review output is generated by an AI system (a large language model). It's advisory only. It may contain errors, including false positives (flagging issues that aren't real), false negatives (missing real issues), incorrect context inferences, and confidently-stated inaccuracies. You're responsible for evaluating each suggestion before acting on it. Don't merge, ship, or rely on code solely on the basis of an AI-generated review. Heymow Studio isn't liable for outcomes resulting from code merged or actions taken on the strength of an AI suggestion produced by the Service.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in this section limits warranties or rights that can't be excluded under mandatory law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Heymow Studio arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Service is capped at the greater of (a) one hundred euros (EUR 100) and (b) the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This cap doesn't apply to: gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, our indemnification obligations for our infringement of third-party intellectual property rights, or any other liability that can't be excluded or limited under mandatory law (including, where applicable, French ordre public and EU consumer protection rules).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Heymow Studio harmless from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from (a) content you submit through the Service that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, violates applicable law, or breaches these Terms, and (b) your use of the Service in a manner that breaches Section 3 (Acceptable use). We don't provide a reverse indemnity in respect of AI output: the AI output disclaimer in Section 6 governs that allocation of risk.
10. Termination
You can terminate at any time by uninstalling the App through the GitHub Marketplace. Heymow Studio can terminate or suspend your access on 7 days notice for non-emergency reasons, or immediately for material breach of these Terms (including Section 3) subject to a 15-day cure right where the breach is curable. After termination, we'll keep operational metadata for up to 90 days to support reinstall and dispute resolution, then purge it within 7 days. Code and PR content aren't retained at any point. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12) survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we'll give at least 30 days advance notice via the email address associated with your installation, the GitHub Marketplace listing, and the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you don't accept, you can terminate without penalty during the notice period.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by French law. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tribunal de commerce de Paris for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, subject to the following: if you're a consumer resident in the European Union, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence apply, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your domicile under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis); the exclusive-jurisdiction clause binds business customers only.
13. Relationship to GitHub Marketplace Customer Terms
The Service is distributed through the GitHub Marketplace and is subject to GitHub's Marketplace Customer Terms and related GitHub policies, which govern the commerce, billing, and account layer. These Terms cover your direct relationship with Heymow Studio for the operation of the Service. Where any conflict exists in respect of billing, refunds, or the Marketplace commerce layer, GitHub's terms prevail.
